If you do not have a MileagePlus® account, or if you have an account but have not created an online password and profile, you can use a guest login to make a purchase on united.com.mx.
We encourage you to join MileagePlus® and to create an online password and profile to make your future purchases on united.com.mx convenient and fast.
How many passengers can I include in one reservation?
You may include up to nine passengers in one reservation on united.com.mx. If you are traveling with additional passengers, just repeat the booking process and create a separate reservation. You may also book your travel by calling your local United reservations center.
Can I book flights for other people?
Yes. To make a reservation for someone other than yourself, enter their name(s) on the "Review" page, under "Passenger information." You may also include each passenger’s frequent flyer number and choose to have a copy of the itinerary emailed to up to four different email addresses.
How do I make a reservation for travel to more than one city?
If your travel will include multiple destinations and/or stopovers, select the "Multi-city" button or link when you are beginning your flight search. Note that the "one-way" and "multi-city" search options are not available when "Search by flexible dates" is selected. Select "Search by price" or "Search by schedule" to shop for one-way or multi-city itineraries.
You may include up to seven origin-and-destination pairs in your search.
If you would like to book an itinerary that includes multiple cities using MileagePlus® miles, you must call your local United Reservations.

Start your one-way search by filling in the flight search tool’s "from" and "to" fields with your origin and destination, then select the "One-way" radio button. Choose your travel dates and press "Search."
What if I know the specific flights I want to book?
You can search for your flight by schedule, price or flexible dates. To find a specific flight, enter the exact dates and times of your desired flight in the "Departing" and "Arriving" fields. When your search results are displayed, you may choose to sort by price, departure time, arrival time, total travel time or other options by selecting the radio buttons to the left of the search results.
Can I modify my search during the booking process?
Yes. If you wish to revise your search criteria after you have begun your flight search, look for the "Modify search" button on the left-hand side of the search results page. You will have the option to change origin and destination, travel dates and times, and more. If you need to edit additional search criteria, you may begin your search again.

How do I make a reservation using my MileagePlus® miles?
To make a reservation using your MileagePlus® miles, select the Redeem Miles link on the united.com.mx homepage and log in with your MileagePlus number and password. Input your desired travel dates, times, number of passengers and service class and select Search. Your search results will display with the miles needed to book your reservation. Please note that miles can be used to book flights on flights operated by United, United Express, U.S. Airways or Continental Airlines only.
If you would like to book a reservation using miles that includes multiple cities, please call your local United Reservations.
Please note that if you make your reservation over the phone or at an airport ticket counter, you will be charged a handling fee. The handling fee does not apply to 1K® and Global ServicesSM members, government or military fares, upgrade awards or reservations made on united.com.mx.
My award search didn’t return any results. What should I do?
If you see "No qualifying flights found" when you search for award tickets, this means that there are no flights available for the award type you chose (Saver or Standard) for that flight combination. It is also possible that the destination you chose is not available for booking online.
In order to maximize your search and obtain the results you are looking for, we recommend that you try one or all of the following:
- Choose a different time of day for your flight search
- Modify your travel dates
- Search for alternate airports close to your origin or destination
- Change the number of travelers
- If you are traveling with a large party, consider reducing the travelers on award tickets
- Try your search again at a later date. Award availability frequently changes within two months of your desired travel date.
Can I upgrade an award ticket?
No. Award tickets are not eligible for upgrades.
Do I earn miles for the distance I fly on an award ticket?
No. You do not accrue miles in your MileagePlus account for award tickets.
Are there fees associated with changing my award ticket reservation dates or destinations?
All changes to your ticketed award reservation must be made by calling United Reservations, or by visiting any United ticketing location. Service fees may apply for some changes.
Global ServicesSM and 1K® members are exempt from all award fees. Award tickets issued for other travelers using miles from a Global Services or 1K member’s account are also exempt from award fees.
